Just the other day I was chattin’ with Billie Gaura on facebook and invited myself to a meeting with her and Mark Peterson. Yea I know I may seem like kind of a buttinski but I figured what the heck. I had been wanting to go check out her operation and this seemed like the perfect excuse.

I just have to say that I love the team at Rainmaker Marketing.

Billy has put together a staff that is truely dedicated to making your small business shine. It most certianly was not like walking into a stuffy “wear a tie” marketing firm. As a matter of fact Billie has a huge desk that from what I could gather, was never used. Her papers were spread out on a coffee table in front of a huge over-stuffed couch. She sat on the floor in front of the couch and we ate cookies and had a meeting.

What we met about was not important. What WAS importat was the way she made the client (Mark in this case) feel like they were having a chat about anything but business. All the while, decisions were being made and appointments were being confirmed.

I don’t know about you but I am not a big fan of high brow presentation and pressure. In no way did Billie and her staff put that up as an area of concern. They just sat, relaxed and had a chat.
