Girls Day Out
Girls Day Out is an annual shopping event in Spokane aimed at introducing women to their local neighborhood business centers. Women (and men too) are invited to join in a day of shopping, fun, games, prizes, unique finds, and best of all- supporting local businesses and neighborhoods. Each neighborhood business center (NBC) has its own unique offerings. “These business centers offer a little bit of everything – the usual and the unusual, the funky and fun, as well as tremendous antiques and antiquity expertise- new and used furniture, clothing, gift, jewelry, unique book stores, along with some of the best coffee houses, bakeries, and local restaurants in the city.” There are some great buys to be found, fun activities to participate in, and get to support your local neighborhood business districts while having a lot of fun! The Event is planned for this coming Saturday the 12th of November in micro communities in town including Hillyard, The Sodo District and The South Perry District. SVHM 7th Annual Heritage Lunch

Program presented by John Caskey on the “Historic Cemeteries of Spokane County”. The 2011 Heritage Preservation Award will be presented to Maggie Rail for her work in recording Eastern Washington cemeteries. Admission includes program & luncheon, dessert & drinks. SSYP’s Wine with Chef Klink
Join SSYP (Spokane Society of Young Professionals) as we host Chef LJ Klink, a local “restaurant rock star” and contestant on”Extreme Chef.” Chef Klink will talk about his experiences as an unconventional chef and will walk gueststhrough his recommendations on wine and food pairings. Sample wines from MarketPlace Wine Bar and a spread of appetizers from Spokane Public Market vendors.Enjoy an evening of food, wine, and fun surprises from Chef Klink!
