I am blessed in so many ways.

The older I get, the easier it is for me to recognize that the simplest things make me so happy.

Just yesterday, Monte

made sure that I got to sleep in.  This is no easy task, mind you.

This entailed him sneaking the dogs out of our bedroom, getting the kids to use quiet voices, feeding the donkeys before there morning hee-haw and keeping the roosters calm since they like to crow at our bedroom window.

When I woke up and realized what he had done, it made my entire day.

Or, how about this one.

My kids wanted to make there own pillow cases and asked me to help.

OMG, are you kidding me.  I was in heaven.

Madison and I have worked on many sewing project together.

But, my boy’s, Colby & Tony have not shown an interest before.

Yet, they were the one’s who came up with the idea to make there own pillow cases.

Now, making three pillow cases is a very simple task.  But throw in the  opportunity to teach my boys some basic sewing .  And to have Madison school her brothers on ironing your hem properly, the difference between the right side and the wrong side of your fabric and how to properly trim your seams was absolutely priceless to me.

Ok, so here is another simple blessing.

Spending time with all our critters.

Better yet, watching our kids spend time with them and doing there critter chores without being asked.

Yes, in deed it is the simple things that make me happy.
