Well another day and another trip for the Spokane Grapevine out to visit a local business. Today’s trip took us to Hallett’s Chocolate and Coffee House. We were greeted by a wonderful employee named Megan, who promptly took our order and served us up a wonderful cup-o-Joe to (Monte likes Americano straight up) and a great mocha made out of their own chocolate syrup. Then it came time to sample the chocolate creations made at the Hallett’s factory, which were truly amazing (Monte had the Habenero Carmel). The thing that struck us first was that we were the only patrons of this wonderful coffee shop. After talking with Megan for awhile we found that being off the beaten path (1003 E Trent St 165) tended to make it a destination coffee shop instead of a “happen” upon coffee shop. Well with the help of their facebook page we happened upon this diamond in the “not so rough”. With it’s proximity to Gonzaga University, WSU and EWU Spokane campus and the fact that they have free Wi-Fi should make this a hot bed of activity for the “Cram for finals” crowd.
If you get a chance we at The Spokane Grapevine consider this to be a great destination for you to “happen upon”.
