Creative Sunday

Archived Posts

I was enjoying a relaxing Sunday.  Forcing myself not to do laundry, clean the kitchen, run the vaccuum, etc.  Just enjoying the day in my comfy clothes, watching a good movie, catch up on reading a few blogs, etc.

Then it hit me…

Holy crap, I can’t stand the fact that there was dirty dishes in the sink, a load of laundry just sitting on the floor and don’t get me started on the dog hair on the rug.  So, I caved and jumped up and got my little list of chores done.  Telling myself along the way,   I’ll be able to relax better, with these chores out of the way…

Now, I don’t know about you, but when I am cleaning, my mind wanders to things that I would rather be doing instead.  So, I started thinking about the generic white canvas bags I recently bought.  When I bought them, I had no plan for them, I just knew they would be useful.  Well, useful is one thing, they also have to be cute.

So in just under an hour, this is what I created.  I tea stained the canvas tote, then used scrap fabric to alter the outside of the bag.  I have a purse that I just love that I purchased from a cute little artisian named Lollibag by Prudence Rapozo.  I get alot of compliments on my Lollibag because it has a huge pink flower on the entire front.  I am telling you this, because that was my inspiration for the cute little flower I made for my canvas tote.  Simple, fun and quick…  I think I will go make another.

So I guess the moral of my story is:   If you get to cleaning right away, you’ll have a creative inspired day.

Ha Ha Ha…
